With so many options from PPI2PASS to choose from, how do you know which one is the best for you?! I’ll break them all down here.
Live Online Courses
Live courses are seriously a game changer if you are preparing to take that plunge into studying for your exams. Not only do these thoroughly cover every topic for your particular exam but they also come with a Passing Guarantee!… Let me repeat for the folks in the back…..

The best part of these online courses is that PPI guides you a long every step of the way – from the start of enrollment to when you pass you exam (long exhale….)
Live courses are the way to go for a lot of test preppers for a few reasons:
- They are instructor-led by a live professional. It’s like having your own tutor! You can interact directly with the instructor and others taking the course!
- They provide office hours for the instructor that are organized in your schedule but you can also contact them through email or a discussion forum.
- All lectures are Recorded….so if you want to go back and review, or think you missed something (cause life happens, right?!) Just find your recording and re-watch!
- Come with a Customized Study Plan to help keep you focused and on track
- Online reference for Review Manuals pertaining to your exam. Probably one of the biggest perks cause you have all your essentials at your fingertips!
- And finally, the Passing Guarantee. Now, you need to make sure to do all your homework assignments, but in short, if you do so and still fail, you can repeat the OnDemand course for free!
OnDemand Courses
This is the option for you if you want to set your own schedule, but still have the resources ready and available anytime that cover your exam topics. I think of this option as a middle-of-the-road option. It’s not a super focused and driven as the Live Courses, but it still gives you good framework to work and study within.
This route may be best for:
- The exam taker who just can’t have a set schedule. I’m looking at you young parents, single parents, two-job workers….you know who you are. Sometimes, you just need something that can work around YOUR schedule.
- You have Options! Choose between 3 Month, 6 Month, and 1 Year options and control your schedule better!
- The person who is one the go. Like many of PPI’s resources, you can access these courses online, through a tablet, and even your phone. Waiting for your child to get done with T-ball practice? Complete a practice exam while you wait!
- You won’t have direct personal access to instructors for questions, but you will have access to all the recorded lectures for you to review at your own pace.
Self Study: Learning Hub
The Learning Hub is great to create a personalized study plan and then Assess, Review, and Practice! Learning Hub plans are offered to anyone ready to take their FE, PE, or ARE
- Assess: Maximize your efforts with up-to-date study plans and exams. All review materials are at your fingertips and ready to go!
- Review: These review manuals are great to help better your comprehension (remember to analyze, don’t memorize!). You’ll review core concepts and figure out what areas you may need to brush up your skills in before you take your exam
- Practice: The key to success is practice, practice, and more practice! They’ll give you practice problems and exams that will better prepare you for what exam day will feel like.
Print Packages and Review Manuals
And lastly, the oldie-but-goodie…..grab your chosen textbooks and review manuals, and wing it! (Hey, it’s what I did!) A lot of soon to be test takers break out their tried and true textbooks from school. And while, these are great for supplemental resources, I would definitely recommend biting the bullet and getting an actual review manual for the exam(s) you are preparing for.
So what which manual do you buy?
I used a few different manuals when I was going through my examinations; however, I quickly realized that anything from Ballast (PPI) really was the most comprehensive.
